2006-2007 Volunteer of the Year

This year we are recognizing to a deserving individual as the Volunteer of the Year. Last year many of you heard my constant pleas for help in organizing the Outdoor Expo. What you may not have realized was that it was looking like it would have to be canceled. The previous year over half of the organizing committee was forced by uncontrollable events to have to resign part way through the process. The folks that remained were doing double and triple jobs and as a result; many were reluctant to return. At this point Barb Brenner stepped up and offered to chair our Expo. She reached out to past volunteers and organizers and pulled together a team. Barb, thank you for stepping up and saving the Expo!
Without volunteers like this, we could not continue to be one of the largest and most active of all club chapters! On behalf of the entire Genesee Valley Chapter; thank you!
